happy b-day, Beebo.

i love this massive star to death. so much talent in such a small human being. i adore him with my life. i’m telling you, my whole life.

i’ve been following this man since Panic! At the Disco became a thing. i was there from the beginning. and i would follow him to the end of the World.

~talk’s a waste of time~

Post apreciativo: Panic! At The Disco

I don't know her!"

stay alive, frens |-/

"Too Weird To Live; Too Rare To Die!" - Album Review (2.0)

ever since "Death Of A Bachelor" came out (BEST.ALBUM.FUCKING.EVER) i've been on a P!ATD spree (yes, i'm aware it's been three monts already, sue me... i'm still obesessed, that's how firetrucking good it is), and i decided to give "Too Weird To Live; Too Rare To Die!" a second chance... because last time i listened to it, i pretty much almost killed myself: that's how much i hated it... and, i don't need an excuse! besides, it's Brendon's birthday (?)

i really, really enjoy the cover... not that it matters, but.
hate the haircut, like the suit, love the man.

"This Is Gospel"

i still think special effects on Brendon's voice are totally uncalled for. BUT: the song ain't that bad; piano version is a thousand times better, but the studio version holds its own. i really like the lines "these words are knives and often leave scars" and "don't try to sleep through the end of the world and bury me alive/'cause I won't give up without a fight". to which i didn't pay attention before because i was too mad at the effects on Brendon's voice...
#Excuses.

"Miss Jackson"

ou, em, gee, these lyrics! i just love how this girl broke him so bad. i mean, don't get me wrong, if i ever get to meet her (because daydreaming is still for free) i'd punch her in the tits, but... damn, the boy is broken. thank god for Sarah and her beautiful doe eyes for saving him <3
anywho! i said something about the video don't making sense, and i really didn't watch it again, but: who gives a shit if it doesn't make sense, this song's amazing!

"Vegas Lights"

oh, dear, i love these lyrics. this song doesn't sound particularly good on the album, because effects and shit (which by now i've stated several times, i don't like), but live... it's fucking awesome. i mean: "we're swimming with the sharks until we drown" -> I LOVE YOU, BRENDON URIE.

"Girl That You Love"

well, i obviously hated this song in 2013... i'd still do if it weren't Brendon. i mean, it's too electronic for me. lyrics again: i can hear your heart breaking, dude! he needs like twelve tequila shots and a tight hug.

"Nicotine"

i loved it then, i still love it now. this song... man, i'm speechless.

"Girls/Girls/Boys"

by now you should know i'm basically eating my words from the last post about this album; i regret nothing: i kinda like this song; i like the aproach of liking the person for who they are instead of for what their gender is. i said of the video: "i don't give a fuck who he was trying to pay a tribute to, it doesn't make sense with the song at all. and i saw parts of Brendon i really didn't want to.". i kinda still stand by that. i love Brenny to death, but, dude... no.

"Casual Affair"

i like the groove of this song and that high note in "atmospheee~re"... YES, PLEASE. lyric wise is kinda the cool counterpart of "Miss Jackson", i think.

"Far Too Young To Die"

again: waaaaaay too techno for me, or whatever the kids are calling it these days. but it's a cute song, it's a nice listen.

"Collar Full"

it's still the nice dancy song it was in 2013. meaning: i liked it then, i still like it now.

"The End Of All Things"

best. song. ever. well, you know... it's a ballad... with piano and Brendon... and piano... yeah, i love it.

so, overall: this album may not give the best first impression, but give it a chance, there's way more to it than what you first listen to. i'm starting to think maybe i shoulda cut Brendon some slack; or maybe i wasn't quite there yet to understand it, emotionally and shit like that, you know? anyway: if you didn't like this album before, give it a new listen, it's gona surprise you... who knows? you might even end up loving it.
i also said this: "i sincerely miss RyRo's lyrics. they were absolutely majestic. that guy had a gift for writing and he missed his chance for following Jon Fucking Walker out of the band and then getting abandoned by him. goddamn you, Ryan Ross! you should've stuck with Panic! At The Disco ¬¬". and i also still stand by it.

i'll leave you with this:

because this is THE best "This Is Gospel" version ever. oh, Brendon Boyd Urie, you talented man...

If you're listening to this... you're the Resistance.-

"Death Of A Bachelor" - Album Review

first of all: this is my 700th post in the 'Music' tag on this blog, so... kudos to me! :D
now that that's outta the way, i'm gonna just jump into the track by track...

Victorious

oh.
my.
fucking.
GOD!
the melody is so fucking good i can't explain what it makes me feel. he hits all those notes that i'm pretty sure not many men in the World can. Brendon Fucking Urie. if he takes this on the road and plays it full band it's gonna rock SO-HARD (that's what she said), you know what i mean? like R5 does with "Heart Made Up On You". if he does something like that with this song i might have a heart attack listening to it live.

Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time

that bass riff. just... get the fuck out of here, you fucking beast! again, the melody is crazy. i really like when Brendon screams at me; when he hits those high notes only he (and Patrick Stump, obviously) can it's like... i can't even.

Hallelujah

i really enjoy these lyrics, and i think the trumpets give a nice touch to the general background. also: that fucking run before the second pre-chorus. preach, Urie, PREACH!

Emperor's New Clothes

Brendon hitting high notes. i really don't need much more. i dig that acapella line, it was a neat touch.

Death Of A Bachelor

this song is so different from anything P!ATD ever released, but it fits nicely in the album, in my opinion. of course, Brendon can sing whatever genre he pleases, because he has an incredible voice and he's insanely talented. it's a nice song.

Crazy=Genius

first thing that came to mind when i listened to this song was "Top Hats" (aka: "There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Though Of It Yet"). i love that song, and this song is really good: i honestly have nothing else to say, it's just a very, very good song.

LA Devotee

LA Devotee is a nice pop song. it's just the kind of song you'd sing along to driving down the road in the middle of the afternoon with the windows down and the wind hitting your face... you know? if i actually had a car. or could drive at all. anyway: the point is: it's a dancy, pop, sing-along song that you want to listen to when you're happy, or just to cheer you up. Brendon: nice change of key in the last chorus, you handsome man! ;)

Golden Days

power verses and pre-chorus. the chorus, on the other hand, sounded a little too Katy Perry to me. still: is Brendon screaming into my ears: keep it coming.

The Good, The Bad And The Dirty

starts off with acapella. nice. real nice. good chorus. good bridge. just good all over.

House Of Memories

piano: yes. he hits impossible notes again, just like in "Victorious", just because he can. i love this man so much. it's definitely a radio song, i would've released it as a single. i know nothing about the music biz, but i think it would've made the charts its bitch in hours. side note: i really like the sudden end.

Impossible Year

this song is just Brendon being Brendon. he made his Frank Sinatra dream happen. and he did gooooooooood. really. it's a very awesome ending to the album. i take my top-hat off.

ok. so, generally, the album is really good: both musically and lyrically. i think he out-done himself: he definitely did a much better job than with "Too Weird To Live; Too Rare To Die"... man, that album sucked balls.
in "Death Of A Bachelor", we can hear real instruments, for once; there's a little synth here and there, but it's really pleasing to the ears to listen to good old-fashioned guitar and bass riffs in most of the songs. also: barely no effects on Brendon's voice, which seemed to be a major trick on the last album, like he needed some help to sound good. i mean: what?! that man can sing whatever the fuck he wants: he has a huge vocal range and he's not afraid to take risks musically, and honestly: i'm just begging he takes this tour to Argentina (South America/Latinamerica/whatever) because i'm dying to listen to this songs live.
dude, i feel like a proud mom. i've been a fan of Panic! for over ten years. i've seen Brendon at his best and worse. "TWTL;TRTD" was a rough patch, but he made it through and proved he can make it on his own. my little boy has grown :')

If you're listening to this... you're the Resistance.-

"Nicotine" - Panic! At The Disco (Official Music Video)

well... the video is just as bad as i thought it'd be. but the song is still amazing. i looooove how Brendon screams at the chorus... :sigh: his voice ♥

Panic! At The Disco - 'Girls/Girls/Boys' LIVE Post-Soundcheck in Miami

don't get me wrong, the lyrics are still stupid, in my opinion. but this version of the song is so much fucking better than the studio one. Brendon's clean voice. that's all i ask for. that's what fucking got me into firetrucking Panic! At The Disco in the first place...!

"Too Weird To Live Too Rare To Die" - Album Review

or should i it be: "Too Weird To Be Too Lame To Buy"? maybe: "Brendon Urie's Solo Project"?
anywho! let's go for the track by track review, and then i'll do an overall, which SPOILER ALERT! is basically gonna be me saying how much this album sucks.

"This Is Gospel"

what the hell?! seriously: special effects on Brendon's voice?! completely unnecessary and totally ridiculous! the music reminds me of a Britney Spears bad song that never really got to the top 100 on iTunes. the lyrics don't make much sense at all. it sounds to me like Brendon was aiming for a "Kings & Queens" or "This Is War" kinda lyrics but just couldn't really get them there.
on top of that: the video is just plain ludicrous.

"Miss Jackson ft. LOLO"

the lyrics are so damn empty. it annoys me. also: LOLO shines for her absence; the part she gets to sing in the song is completely forgettable. again with the special effects on Brendon's voice. i can't hear any real instruments in this song. at all.
then again: the video doesn't make sense at all.

"Vegas Lights"

ok. i'm gonna give it to Brendon. these chorus lyrics kinda make sense with all that's been happening to Spencer (though really sad: i still think it's really stupid and borderline funny). but the music is too electronic. i would've prefer this song to be really quiet, like acoustic. just Brenny and his guitar. it would've sound so much better.

"Girl That You Love"

STUPID FUCKING SPECIAL EFFECTS ON BRENDON'S FUCKING VOICE. you gotta be freaking kidding me, the guy has one of the most beautiful, amazing voices of our generation! if not of all time, and he keeps ruining it with the fucking effects. i hate this song so much. and the lyrics are still empty and lack a story.

"Nicotine"

finally some real instruments! not in the way i want them but... still: real instruments. well, the music still sounds too electric to me, but the melody of the voice is beautiful and it does sound like Panic! At The Disco. FINALLY! i love that Brendon's voice is clean. i love the background vocals. i loooooove that Brendon screams to me when he says: "you're worst than nicotine". music to my ears. kudos, Urie.

"Girls/Girls/Boys"

"girls love girls and boys"? seriously? you gonna talk about bisexuality? really? i'm not even gonna get into the lyrics because they're just plain lame. at least in this song he also used real instruments. the bass riff is actually quite cute.
don't even get me started with the video! i don't give a fuck who he was trying to pay a tribute to, it doesn't make sense with the song at all. and i saw parts of Brendon i really didn't want to.

"Casual Affair"

ugh! we're back to the special effects on his voice. i fucking hate this song. it's slow and the lyrics are all over the place. i kinda like the small riff of the piano at the end, though. cute.

"Far Too Young To Die"

no. no. no. no. again with the effects. again, no real instruments playing in the song. the lyrics are like: meh. ok. you can think he may be talking about everything that happened to Spencer, once again. still: i don't like it.

"Collar Full"

this song starts kinda cute. it sounds more like what i think Panic! should sound like. well, what i recognize as P!ATD. the lyrics are ok. i can't complain much. i wish Brendon's voice sounded a little more clean, though. i think it would've worked so much better for the song. i mean: it's a dancy, somewhat happy, song. it's fine. and it has real instruments in it. that makes me happy (:

"The End Of All Things"

this song is just beautiful. i really, really love it. the lyrics are soft and simple, but they express something  far more complicated than you'd think. and it's just what everybody wants to hear from a loved one. you can either think it was meant for Sarah, or even maybe Spencer. even though it says "we're in love", i mean: when you're in a band together, you can't be just friends. i'm not saying they have some sort of bromance or anything, but... well: if you get the picture, you get it. otherwise, nevermind. i know what i mean. it's a perfect ending to a very awful album, cuz it makes you forget songs like "This Is Gospel"...

so, overall:

i hate the album: except for "Nicotine" and "The End Of All Things". "Collar Full" is kind of in a limbo to me. cuz i've got nothing against it, yet i don't love it. but yeah, the album is way too electronic and it sounds nothing like something Panic! At The Disco would do. it feels as if Brendon didn't take enough time to really work on it. or maybe they were being pressured by the label to release an album right away, and Brendon didn't want Spencer to just stop taking care of himself to write an album, so he put all that weight on his shoulders and... well: "Too Weird To Live Too Rare To Die" happened.
i love "Vices & Virtues". i love everything about it. the music, the lyrics. even the artwork. but i sincerely miss RyRo's lyrics. they were absolutely majestic. that guy had a gift for writing and he missed his chance for following Jon fucking Walker out of the band and then being abandoned by him. goddamn you, Ryan Ross! you should've stuck with Panic! At The Disco ¬¬

¡Mirá esa cara de boludo! ¿A vos te parece, Urie?

Quiero decir: "as a boy I ate my wishes on golden tooth picks and digested then with wolf intestines", ¿en serio?
¡nadie!

Here I am
Composing of burlesque
Out of where they rest their heads
Sulking in their splintered cradles
And ramshakled hands
They asked for it
As a boy
I ate my wishes on golden tooth picks
and digested then with wolf intestines

I fell from the heavens
As a fetish blessed with
An operatic skeleton
And as the stars watch me descend
I crack a family tree and
Chopped off all of the branches

I fell from the heavens
As a fetish blessed with
An operatic skeleton
And as the stars watch me descend
I crack a family tree and
Chopped off all of the branches

¿Cómo...? Explicame cómo ¿partieron de esto para llegar a "Nearly Witches (Ever Since We Met...)"? Como convirtieron: "as a boy I ate my wishes on golden tooth picks and digested then with wolf intestines" en "matching set of marching clocks the slumbering apparitions that they've come to wake up" y "as a girl you have set your heart on haunting me forever from the start is never silent".
Convengamos que Ryan Ross aparece como co-escritor de "Nearly Witches (Ever Since We Met...)"; aunque ahora que lo pienso, tal vez sea por ese único pedacito que quedó del demo "here I am/composing of burlesque/out of where they rest their heads/sulking in their splintered cradles/and ramshakled hands/they asked for it"

Panic! At The Disco’s ‘Batman’ Song “Mercenary”: Idolator Premiere

Reitero: maldito Brendon ¬¬

Anyways:

"Panic! At the Disco's "Mercenary" is part of the upcoming Batman: Arkham City video game soundtrack, a stacked affair that features artists like Coheed and Cambria, Blaqk Audio, and The Raveonettes. But this isn't just some tacked-together collection of hot artists (cough cough, Twilight) -- it's a fully themed affair. Panic not only sing of "collateral damage" and making you "shiver, make your backbone quiver," they went so far as to incorporate a sample of dialogue from the game, featuring Bat-villain Hugo Strange taunting the Caped Crusader. Check it out, and don't hesitate to throw up the Bat Signal (er, share the song) via our indispensable, newly embeddable music player."

As commanded.
Genial. Como siempre. Pocas veces, Panic! decepciona con una canción. Y cuando digo "pocas veces", me refiero a "nunca".

Top 20: "Best Songs To Cheer-Up"

01. "Shut Up" - Simple Plan

02. "Checkmarks" - The Academy Is...

03. "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" - My Chemical Romance

Siempre.

04. "Don't Want You Back" - Backstreet Boys

This song is soooo not for 'break-ups' only.

Bueno, definitivamente Hayley Williams encontró la frase perfecta para esa sensación "ignorance is your new best friend".

06. "A Place For My Head" - Linkin Park

07. "Tearin' Up My Heart" - N'Sync

08. "Capricorn (A Brand New Name)" - 30 Seconds To Mars

09. "Under The Bridge" - Red Hot Chili Peppers

10. "Passive" - A Perfect Circle

12. "Sing" - My Chemical Romance

13. "Hurricane" - Panic! At The Disco

Hablando de resentimientos, ¿no? Esta canción tiene escrito "¡¡¡chupalaaaaa!!!" all over it.

15. "Can't Catch Tomorrow (Good Shoes Won't Save You This Time)" - Lostprohets

16. "Folkin' Around" - Panic At The Disco

18. "Dirty Little Secret" - The All-American Rejects

20. "Pretty Handsome Awkward" - The Used

"Beware! Cougar!" - The Academy Is...
"My Happy Ending" - Avril Lavigne
"Back To Me" - The All-American Rejects
"Welcome To My Life" - Simple Plan
"New Born" - Muse
"Sold My Soul" - The Used
"Breakin'" - The All-American Rejects

Y... probablemente muchas más ^^

Come on!

Buena onda.
Hablando de otras cosas, ya quiero escuchar lo nuevo de The Academy Is... ¡Ah! No puedo esperar...! O sea: ¡MAR DEL PLATA! ¿EN SERIO? ¬¬ imbéciles... tenía que ser Brendon...

Me voy... estoy amando esta canción, no puedo esperar a ver Transformers ♥♥♥
