The Office UK (review, download link, and just me saying how fucking awesome it is)

OF COURSE i'm talking about the UK version. the US version is just utter bullscrap, like all the US versions of a british series. i mean, like, seriourly: how the fuck did they manage to make nine seasons outta that shit! anyways: british version, the original. brilliant.

i mean, it's a comedy show. i, in general, really enjoy british humor, because it's subtle. and it's not based on stupidity, it's the little things. i  don't think i can explain it in a way people can understand why i like it so much. and it's not just comedy, i love british drama too; and just basically everything movie/TV related. they have a different perception of the world and i, for one, think it is fantastic. but enough of that: i'll stop rambling now and go down to the topic of this post.
so, yes. i was saying it's a comedy show. and one thing i didn't expect from a comedy show is to make me cry. but i did. and they were tears of joy, but i cried so much if you saw me you would've guessed someone just died. it's all about the character development. it's so well done you get attached to every character, they fucking grow in you, dude! it's remarkable! and annoying. I LOVE IT!
i always catched the US version on TV and always thought it was so boring and stupid. i never got through one whole episode, and they're just 22 minutes long. so, yeah. i hated it. but then i found out there was in fact an original version of the show and that it was british. i wasn't so much into british cinema/TV back then so i didn't took the time to give it a try and watch it. but recently i found out that Martin Freeman played a regular character in the show -and i'm on a Martin Freeman spree- so i decided to watch it. i thought to myself: "oh, it's just two six-episoded seasons and a Christmas Special anyway. if it's bad, it's not like i'm going down into a nine season spiral of death.". oh, i got hooked the first three minutes of the show.
i love, love, love that is filmed in documentary format! :3 i'm so sort of a film art freak 'cause i went to a high school with "art orientation", i guess you can say. my high school degree literally says: Audiovisual Arts Orientation. so yeah, i particularly enjoyed that part of the series. ohmygod! the character development is so subtle, you don't even notice until the very end how much they've changed and grown over the two first series. it's amazing. it's so cleverly written. the characters are mundane yet very eccentric in their own way. i absolutely loved everything about the show.
so, i strongly recomend that you take some days off whatever it is your doing to watch for the first time, or re-watch this amazing show. because it's worth every-single-fucking-second.

btw: on the extras, really cute how Martin says he's not sure if he would ever be able to top his character on The Office. i think he says something like: "i don't wanna be yelled at 'Tim' when i'm 55 years old". ten years later the guy landed the role of Dr. Watson in the most viewed and recognized version of Sherlock Holmes ever made by a mortal other than Sir Arthur Conan Doyle AND the main character from the latest Peter Jackson's trilogy. yep, i'm talking about him playing Bilbo Fucking Baggins from Bag End. not to mention all the amazing work he did in theatre in the meantime. dude. come on! fucking british modesty... i adore him ♥. also: don't get me started on Stephen Merchant and Mackenzie Crook... i also love those fuckers so much...!
