"The Whistle Song"

So, I thought this awesome song written by the brilliant Bernard Herrmann, deserved to have an appreciation post.

It all started back in 1968, when our friend Bernard H. created the soundtrack for the movie "Twisted Nerve". By the way: the soundtrack is a variation of the same song ("The Whistle Song"). Just. Brilliant. I leave you the scene when Martin (our very own cold blooded motherfucker) whitles the song as he tails his victim:

As expected, the amazingly simple and, really, really creepy song, was featured in a movie written and directed by one of the best "movie makers" this world has or ever will see: Quentin Tarantino. Of course, I'm talking about "Kill Bill Volume I"; back in 2003. It was also featured in another Tarantino's film: "Death Proof" as Abernathy Ross' ringtone.

2012. Well, this wasn't suprising at all. I mean: we are talking about Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (aka: Murchuk, for me), the creators of "American Horrro Story" (and "Glee" and "The New Normal", and others). After Nip/Tuck we couldn't expect less from them. They actually based the whole Tate Langdon character on Martin Durnely (from 1968 "Twisted Nerve"). Oh, and it is amazing. Evan Peters plays it just the way it has to be.
(sorry about the quality of the video; but is was the only one I could find, cuz I wanted the whole 'school shooting' scenes)

And last but not least: I found this on youtube®. Not really sure if this actually happened in the movie or it's a fan-made video. But it looks pretty real to me. This is "Hellsing Ultimate", a movie from the anime "Hellsing" based on the manga: "Hellsing". I haven't either read the manga, or watched the anime. So, I guess I'll never watch this movie, cuz even if I do, I don't think I'll understand much. Anywho: the main character of this video looks pretty much like a contemporary, 21st century, Hitler. I mean: for real, they're fucking Nazis. It's disgusting.
