Notes From a Non Believer #4

Happiness.
What does it even mean? My question being: Does it exist? When you look it up on the disctionary says: 'mental state of well-being characterized by positive emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy'. Look me in the eye and tell me you've ever felt... 'intense joy'. There's not such thing as 'intense joy'. There's 'joy', of course... maybe. But there's no 'happiness'. Not as the dictionary says anyways.
Cutting to the chase, I've never felt 'intense joy'; not that I had any reasons to, but you know what I mean. Life sucks in so many ways! And it doesn't get any better. Even though your parents tell you all the time that highschool's just a phase, and college's gonna be awesome! Lies. Lies, lies, lies. It does not get better, it just sucks in a different way. Okay, maybe it doesn't suck that much, but sucks nonetheless.
Talking about non feeling 'happiness', I've never met anyone who had felt it either, at least that they're aware of. So, I decided to stopped believing that I'd feel it any time soon...
This is the fourth statement of a -very special- non believer: Happiness does not exists. Not as such. We just have to hold on to whatever seconds of joy we can get in our short, short lives, and make our own, new, redefined, 'happiness' outta there.
