"I'll Be With You Wherever You Go"

1. Prologue: ‘Through The Eyes Of A Fly On The Wall’

I’d been staring at him for like half an hour.
-I can’t believe he didn’t notice – I told to myself ignoring completely the fact that I was in the library and I should be reading this awesome book for the fiftieth time for an essay.
Yes; so there I was: just staring at this guy that I would probably never talk to, making a fool out of myself to absolutely no one (just ‘cause no one in Libertyville does go to the library, actually). Then I stopped and I started looking out the window, trying to get this guy outta my head. I was just thinking about nothing when the book fell off my lap making the most incredibly loud noise ever. I hurried to try and pick it up as soon as I could expecting no one had noticed it, but when I looked down to reach it, it was no longer there, instead of, there where a pair of shoes standing. I raised my eyes to see… him.
-You dropped this – he told me smiling.
-I know – I answered, of course.
-Is your first time? – he asked.
-What…? – I reacted, really confused.
-Is this the first time you read this book? – he explained.
-Oh… - I sighed – No, I’ve read it before – I was starting to get really uncomfortable.
-It’s a good book – he said handing it to me and leaving me there, practically breathless.
Just for the record: don’t take everything I say literally, I tend to exaggerate about my feelings… a lot.

2. Chapter 1: ‘In The Most Unexpected Places I See Changes’

I kept coming to the library as usual, but he was there every single time now. I can’t explain how I’ve never noticed him before, ‘cause nobody starts going to a library just because a stupid girl you like dropped a book, right? Besides, he can do so much better than me. Therefore, there was this day…
I was sitting in my spot, where I use to sit always, this time completely concentrated in the novel I was reading, when he came to me. Not lying.
-‘Romeo and Juliet’ – he read my cover, I mean, the book’s cover – Classic – he added sitting right in front of me; awkward, really awkward.
-Yes, I’ve got another essay to do for literature – I said, but in the inside I was like: ‘What? He probably doesn’t even care, and you just screamed that you’re in high school, you moron!’
-Oh, literature… - he sighed in remembering – I miss it… - he stared at something behind my back, and I just couldn’t take my eyes off of him.
-I’m William, by the way – he said as he stood up.
-Carol – I answered, for the first time in my life.
-Does anyone, but your mother, call you ‘Carol’? – he asked raising an eyebrow.
-No – I laughed
-I thought so… - damn his smile.
-People call me ‘Carrie’ –
-Then ‘Carrie’ is your name – I heard he said before he left.
