"It takes a village to hide a secret"
Okay, I'll tell you exactly what's wrong about this series... NOTHING! I love it. It's awesomely writen, it has good actors. I mean... I love it. Since ep. 1.
The best part of it it's that it's based on "The Colorado Kid" by Stephen King (book that I'm actually reading right now) and it is still good. Because -well, everyone who's ever read a King's short story or novel watched the "Nightmares And Dreamscapes" series, which not all of them sucked, but most of them failed to show the true core of the story. I don't know, they were missing something. Something important. Something... Stephen King-ish.
But "Haven" is going great! I mean, so far. Because I'm only a couple of chapters in in the book, so I couldn't really judge it. But I've seen all two and a half (the third is on air right now) seasons and -at least- as a series, it's going great.
I NEED to watch next episode and it's just Tuesday. I have to fucking wait until fucking Friday to get my eyes all over Nathan every character.
Speaking of which, let's get into the leading lady:
Detective Audrey Parker (former FBI agent): she's a ballsy cop with easy eyes for the supernatural. She was sent to Haven, Maine (obviously, it's based on a Stephen King novel, peeps) to investigate a case and ended up getting involved in this small everyone-knows-everyone town's mysterious mystery which no one wants to talk about. She believes she's destined to help "the troubled" -people with some kind of supernatural gift or curse-.
Detective Nathan Wuornos: the love of my life he's the son of the Chief of Haven PD and aparentely the only local cop with brains. Unable to feel pain because of some affliction he says he has. We all know from the begining he's "troubled". He and Audrey make an instant connection, like they were meant to work together trying to help the "troubled".
Duke Crocker: not only he has a badass name, but he also is a pretty badass guy. Though he has a soft spot for Audrey (as does everyone in this town), and he begins to show his true colors around her. Meaning: he's hard on the exterior and all sweet and soft on the inside. Who wouldn't love him?!
Vince and Dave Teagues: respectively, founder and editor of the "Haven Herald", the local newspaper. They act like they're all clueless about al the "troubles" situation, but soon enough you come to notice they know a little bit too much about everything. Somehow both of them always end up in the middle of the investigation. Helping. Of course.
And that's about it with the characters and the story, so... if you don't watch "Haven" well, you should! Seriously, you're not gonna regret it (:
