AHS 30 Days Challenge: Day 1

Favorite Character

Well, everybody knows who it is... D'Oh! But just in case: TATE LANGDON, people!!!

I mean: what's not to love? He's the most controversial character of them all. I remember watching the posters on the street and thinking: "that kid is eating watermelon... cool!"

And there he is. Okay, okay, just to be clear, he's not my favorite character because he's Evan Peters (though you might think so). Even if Evan wasn't playing him, he'd still be my favorite one.

Tate has been through so much. Not only he was the only 'normal' kid of his family, which put a lot of pressure for being 'the perfect son' his mother wanted him to be;

but also, he was a nobody at school -I know by fact (that fact being supported by movies -?-) that popularity is a very important thing for high school kids in the US. Not so much for us in Argentina. If Tate would've been argentinian he would've never gone all Columbine on his class mates; but that's just because we really don't care what people think about us. Well, most of us don't.

Another interesting thing about Tate is that, even though he's a psychopath serial killer, he would -most likely- earn a place in the heart of Glee. I mean, seriously, think about it... just... take the 'psychopath' thingy outta the character, of course, and you get the unloved, missunderstood underdog-

I love the fact that he's so 90's. Man! BEST.DECADE.EVER!

I love that he set Larry on fire while still alive because he deserved it. That motherfucker! I hate Larry ¬¬

Also: setting him on fire means personal revenge for the fact that Larry's family set themselves on fire because he cheated on them with Constance.

You gotta love Tate. He's the Robin Hood of love (?)

But by far, the best part of Tate is that he's in love. And he'd do anything to keep Violet safe. He even tried to make her believe she was still alive to help her accept the fact that she was dead a little bit better.

And... what girl doesn't like her man to wait for her for the rest of eternity? A clue: we all do.

Tate Langdon is the most complicated charater of AHS, for me at least. And I love him, and he's my favorite. I can't imagine anyone else but Evan playing Tate, but if someone else did, I'd love him anyways (:
